Forbidden Love.

Can a devil and an angel be together in love?
The answer is obviously no.

But why is it that some couples are so blinded by this fact? Could it be the adrenaline rush that comes with unchartered territory? Or could it be that some people thrive on drama?

This is an old question many ask themselves now and realise that in the end, all that was just a waste of time. You need to be out of sight and away from the person in hand to see the bigger picture.

This applies to those men and women out there who are in love with attached, definitely unavailable individuals. Whether they are married, engaged or have a girlfriend/boyfriend, the bottom line is... they are off limits! In this case, the answer may be to just end it swiftly and terribly. Save yourself from the pain and anguish that comes with the forbidden love. Why? Because it's not love. It's pure lust. And lust does not last, buddy.

However, in the land of the singles, forbidden love could very well be true love. That may be the case, or... it could just mean a temporary set back. Whatever it may be, good luck to all of you out there, trying to find the true meaning of happiness...

Love truly is a battle.

It's all about the choices you make.

I just reconnected to someone i was with for 5 years.. and i realised a couple of things. 1) some things never change, 2) some couples are meant to be the best of friends and nothing more, and 3) no matter what you do, you cannot change how people feel about you. In my opinion, you should know by now when you're fighting a losing battle. Whether you lose weight, stop smoking, stop drinking or suddenly become a millionaire, they can only be interested in you for a short period of time. After that, they will revert back to their usual self. So! You have two options. 1) you accept the person for who they are, even if they treat you like shit, or 2) you leave and move on.

I choose option number two.

Why? Because i deserve better.

Everybody has secrets.

They just have different ways of hiding them. Some write it in a diary so it will forever be etched on paper and in memory. Some share it with the ones they trust... and some keep it to themselves and bring it to the grave. People who say they don't have any secrets are lying, for real. Even between Adam and Eve, the first lovers created on earth have secrets i'm sure. Sometimes when you love someone, you don't want to hurt their feelings by telling them the ultimate truth.

This... i learned the hard way.

There are two kinds of people. One which only look out for themselves and one which put other people's needs first before their own. I am lucky enough to be with both kinds of people, and even more grateful that I am close to those in the second group.

Don't get me wrong, it is perfectly fine to look out for number one. But you need to be around people who truly care for you and your well-being. There are friends out there who hang out with you because it's fun but leave the very moment they find something better.

Your true friends are those that stay with you not just during the fun times, but also during the bad, pathetic times... this i feel is the true test of friendship. A best friend is someone who brings out the best in me and is sincerely happy when i succeed in something.

My real friends accept me for who i am, know my shortcomings, but love me anyway.

A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses.

This post is dedicated to the sweet one who gave me these gorgeous white roses... for no reason at all. It is very rare indeed to be on the receiving end of such thoughtful gestures... gros bisous! xoxox

wow, bloggers all over the world are posting up their comments and views on the recent passing away of Michael Jackson.. it is very sad indeed, but what i don't understand is why is everyone suddenly so sad? he was bashed mercilessly when he was still alive. does he have to die in order for everyone to start appreciating him? i, for one, have never said anything nasty about him...

i'm a big fan of britney spears too, and i hear people gossiping about her front left right and centre... does she have to leave this earth too in order to get the recognition she deserves for her work? surely it is not easy to be in her shoes. and i have full confidence that she will rise again to her former glory... and yes i feel for her too, because 1) she is easily misunderstood, 2) she is just as vulnerable as the next person and 3) she has the talent and will to reach her full potential... she just doesn't know it yet...

Just an hour away from Geneva, we found a sweet french town, Megeve.. Did the cheesy tourist thing... which i have to admit, i enjoyed very much... :-)

You want things that you can't have.. and you don't want it when it's not in demand. Could this be true? This week i'm putting this theory to the test. Do I want this thing that I can't have? especially when it's the total opposite of what i'm looking for or used to... i'm almost afraid to find out that it could be too good to be true.. at the same time, i can't help but think that all this could just very well be a wonderful dream. Then! if that's the case, i hope i don't ever wake up from it! LOL.

I find it highly annoying when people bully you into making decisions that have no bearing what-so-ever on their own lives. We like to refer to these individuals as pushy, bossy, know-it-all... but my favourite one is 'wannabe'. Wannabes think the world revolves around them and think they are born on this earth to be Gods. Get real, bro.

As far as i'm concerned, you shouldn't give any advice when you are in no position to do so. Do you have the first hand experience, the knowledge and intelligence to do so? If you are so perfect in your perfect little world, then why are you still slaving for an organisation which thinks lesser of you than the rest of us mere mortals? You would be living the dream right now otherwise. Anyways, fine. You can give some advice on what you think should be done, but no way in hell should you force these thoughts onto others. I will take it if I think it's worth doing, and won't if i didnt think it was the right thing to do. and why do you have this look on your face when i tell you off? shocking. i've mentioned this in my blog a few times before too, if i do in fact make a mistake, then let it be a mistake for ME to make. we are humans after all.
