Perfect Weekend.

Spending time with the people who matter most to you.. chilling at pool... laughin while watchin A Night at the Museum 2... nothin could be better.. As the cliche goes 'never tell your problems to anyone, 20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them..' I think there is some truth in this saying, and I wouldn't wanna bleed someone's ear out anyways on stupid things like... mourning for someone who you thought was The One. But I like to be positive. So I'm going to ignore it for now. I realise that no matter how big or small your problem is, there are always people around you who can help... and make you feel better, even if it's just for a little while.. I am now leaving everything to fate... Only time will tell what the future holds. I did what I could... and I lost something precious... If it comes back, it's meant to be... If not, TOUGH! You'll get over it. LOL. Apparently my recent posts were depressing... and so there needs to be a change in the air...

Here goes nothing...

Aries.

Energetic. Adventurous and spontaneous. Confident and enthusiastic. Fun. Loves a challenge... EXTREMELY impatient. Sometimes selfish. Short fuse (easily angered). Lively, passionate, and sharp wit. Outgoing. Lose interest quickly - easily bored. Egotistical. Courageous and assertive. Tends to be physical and athletic.

A long life might not be good enough. But a good life is long enough.

No one likes to be second best. When you love someone, you love them for who they are. Not turn them into someone they're not. And know that the one you love will be the one you choose over all others. Only then... you can be truly happy. Only then... you will not look for comfort in others to fill the things you find missing in your life. Of course, you think that 'this isn't the life i expected it to be'... but... it should be BETTER than how you expected it to be! Life should be a journey..
...like a stairway to heaven...

Looking out for number one.

There is only so much... one can take. When the pressure is there, it is time to remove yourself out of it. Surround yourself around positive people. Wise people. The right people. Sometimes associating oneself with the wrong crowd can cloud your mind and your judgment. When you make a decision to do something, do it for yourself. Not for others. And if they care for you, they should understand and love you despite your actions. Remember too that certain 'friends' would love to see you fall.. Sure, some will say that you are going to make a mistake, but... let it be a mistake for YOU to make. It is your right. It is your life...
..the decision is yours..

Over.

Feel nothing. Neither love nor hate. This is when you know you have moved on. Only time will heal all wounds... and wipe all the blood off your hands. A crash course on how to survive life does not exist. Take a leap of faith. Nothing can stop you now. Freedom is within reach... the time to act is now.
It is now or never.

Emotional Rollercoaster.

Last week was a total mess.. but with luck and a bit of help from God (ok a lot), things panned out quite well. Life is unexpectedly beautiful. With the help of loved ones, you can move on with your life. So... Pictures of you and your phone number - deleted. Perfumes, and other material things reminding me of you - no longer matter. You are but a blurr memory in the furthest corner of my mind.
Finally... I can let go.

Happy Mother's Day.

Hi Mama, I'm dedicating this post for you... Happy Mama's Day!
Thank you for loving me all these years and for many years to come.
The boys and I thank God for having you in our lives...
Please forgive us for the times we have misbehaved and the times when you were misunderstood... all you did was love us.
You are patient, you are passionate,
you are the best mother anyone could ever ask for!
No one can ever replace you. No words can describe how much we love you... and we are not ashamed to admit it!
Love you, mum.
Have a great mother's day

Love with no regrets.

Your home is where your heart is. Things have a way of working themselves out. 'Destiny is the bridge to the one you love'. So no matter where life takes you, if you're meant to be with that person, you will cross paths again. You will know what to do when the time comes. God will point you in the right direction. Follow your heart... and your mind. It is when these two become one, you realise that you have to be selfish and love yourself. It is impossible to please everyone around you. The most important thing now is to do things that will make you most happy and comfortable. Don't go against your gut feeling. Afterall, life is short and worrying excessively about the future will only destroy you.

As the cliche goes 'Imagine what you could do, if you knew you couldn't fail.' You are more powerful than you realise. Others see the potential in you. When you change yourself, you change the world around you. There is no substitute for your own passion. What you put into your life, is what you get out of it. Expect nothing less.

Perhaps being sad with the right people is better than being happy with the wrong ones. Complain to one who can help you and it helps to talk to people, but you know in the end, it is YOU who will decide for yourself what's best for you. At the same time, doing nothing is the best way to go nowhere. Don't deprive others of their own happiness.

If you really love someone, you let them be happy.... with or without you. Sometimes beauty can be such a curse, but it is what you do with it that makes a difference. 'All that glitters is not gold'. Take a chance on love. Take a chance on life. The great thing about being human is to be able to make mistakes and learn from it. No one is perfect but God. He who never made a mistake, never made a discovery.

When you are on dangerous grounds, your instincts will kick in and your armour will be ready. But know one thing, nothing is permanent but change. Your life will not turn out how you imagined it to be. It's a constant evolution. You become a better person for it. Live with no excuses and love with no regrets.

It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up again. Nothing in life worth having comes easy. You've been given a second life. You are no longer a lost soul, you finally belong. It's a great day to be alive. Cherish it. Relish the moment. Kill the whispers of evil in your mind. Don't take your eyes off the goal... and don't forget to laugh. Do something that scares you every day. You will learn something new about yourself that you didn't know before. Once you realise you can be the best of what you could be, there will be no turning back. Your dreams will become a reality.

Wow, this has got to be the longest post I've ever written in the history of my blog. (OMG I love bloggin').

This is for you... for closure... I hope and pray you find your inner peace... and... yourself.

She will haunt your dreams at night.

Beware of a woman
whose piercing eyes will cast you into a spell
lips that would shame the red, red rose
a heart as black as the night before you...
She whispers in your ear
'hell needs more of people like you...'
she sold her soul to the devil himself
in exchange for a few moments of true love...
her tormentor is her greatest master
and her foresight is the only one thing that scares her
she will overrun this earth, but
she knows it is better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven...
death is coming for her and those around her
she will forever suffer in silence
because she knows... that
she can never be free from this curse...

International Day @ Caux-Palace, Swiss Hotel Management School

The staff and I went to Montreux, a sweet town an hour away from Geneva to visit our Bruneian student on the occasion of the school's International Day. Didn't expect it to be a grand affair so most of us went in jeans and a shirt..! The performances were great though... and so were the food! Cheers.

The wide... open roads

One of the cocktail stalls. All stalls are being judged by visitors.

In anticipation of the performances. Yes, we have to judge them too.

Of course we voted for South East Asia on Best Performance! Brunei, Malaysia and Indonesia joined forces for a Joget.

The rest of the artists... the students put their hearts and soul into it..

The finale

The Brunei Flag soars high.

On the way back home..

Your wings may be clipped but you can still fly.

Shed your old skin and come to the new light.
There is potential beyond anyone's comprehension.
Beat the thoughts of anxiety and worry.
Let there be blood in the hands of the innocent.

Drown the sorrows in the midst of the strong.
The moon will shine once more affecting all around it.
It is written in the stars. 'Whatever will be will be.'
Even death will have mercy and dance in the music of love.

Do not end the world.. because
God sent a dark angel to look over you..

What your favourite movie character says about you.

This is interesting. Had a conversation with a mate about superheroes (and movie characters) and so came about a theory that the character we (consciously) choose, reflects our own personalities (subconsciously). If that makes sense. So of course, me being me - I looked it up on the internet superhighway and came across this article from Cosmo:-

What His Favorite Superhero Reveals (By Christie Griffin)
Your guy’s hero of choice can reveal a lot about his personality. Ask him to pick his all-time favorite action great from the list below and use Cosmo’s guide to decode his answer.

It’s no surprise: Superhero movies are waaay popular, especially among men — just look at The Dark Knight, which is breaking box office records left and right. And while most dudes like all comic book capers, they usually have a favorite. The superhero a man prefers reveals the strengths and qualities that he would like to have or develop more of, says Krista Bloom, PhD, author of The Ultimate Compatibility Quiz. We got Bloom to weigh in on four of the most popular costumed adventurers and explain what it means if your guy is a fan.

Who he worships: Superman
What it reveals: Superman is the quintessential “nice guy” — he’s loyal, believes that people are inherently good, and is always ready to save the day. A guy who digs the Man of Steel usually has the same traits. So, while you may not need your man to save you from a burning building, he'll love it if you ask for his advice or help in mini-crisis — whether it’s changing a flat or settling you down after a fight with a pal. In other words? Score! But his desire to rescue people might not stop with you. He’s the type to fill his days helping his mom and doing favors for friends. If you feel like his time is monopolized by being a little too good to others, just pipe up and he’ll be responsive.

Who he worships: Spider-Man
What it reveals: Spider-Man is the underdog of all superheroes. As Peter Parker, he’s sensitive, completely responsible, and a bit nerdy. And his Spidey alter ego is pretty much the same — except for the fact that he also swoops from building to building to rescue damsels in distress. If your man relates to this cobweb-flinging fella, chances are he's emotionally open, never late, and always feels the need to the do the right thing. The only downside: Just like Spider-Man, your guy may get so caught up in being responsible that he has a hard time being carefree. You’ll just have to show him how to loosen up…

Who he worships: Batman
What it reveals: Batman — aka Bruce Wayne — drives a badass car, dates supermodels, and is rolling in dough...so, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why he appeals to your dude. But the Caped Crusader also has a darker side — his parents were killed by criminals, and that’s why he has set out to fight the bad guys. Batman avoids getting close to most people and is sort of a loner. So, your guy may share his dangerously dashing appeal, but you may also have to work a little harder to get him to open up.

Who he worships: The Hulk
What it reveals: This superhero goes from the quiet, reserved Bruce Banner to the big, green Hulk whenever he gets pissed off. Scary, right? But no worries; this character means well, he just lets his feelings overwhelm him. A guy who tells you that The Hulk is his favorite is likely to be the type who gets caught up in emotions and may even have the occasional outburst. Here’s the bright side: You’ll never have to guess how he feels. That said, if you do sense him getting worked up, it may be best to give him some space until he calms down or figures out his emotions.

What do you think? Of course, it is written by a chick. For chicks. I think there are some characteristics which i thought were spot on and some which weren't. So i'm going to be bold and do my OWN analysis on other major movie characters. Lets see if you agree..

Movie Character: James Bond 007
Reveals: You are secretive and only a selective few know who you really are. Job wise, you are very good at what you do. You don't believe in sucking up to the boss, because you know your work speaks for itself. You have a long list of female companions, but you feel as if falling in love would be a mistake. You believe that the one who cracks you will end up getting hurt.

Movie Character: X-Men characters
Reveals: You use what people see as flaws to your advantage. What you once thought was a curse, you eventually find it's your greatest strength. You are easily misunderstood, so your comfort zone is hanging around people who are like-minded as you. Most of the time you can control your temper, but when you can't, others should get out of your way.

Movie Character: Robin Hood.
Reveals: You put other people's needs first before your own. You are a rebel in your own right. You feel that the most effective way to get things done, is by taking things into your own hands. You make friends easily and people find you charming and approachable. Which is an envy of other men.

Movie Character: Hannibal Lecter.
Reveals: You are a genius but you have a sick, twisted mind. But in your own sick, twisted way, you enjoy seeing the potential grow in other people. You can see the big picture, which others cannot. Despite being a little bit eccentric, people find themselves drawn to you without even realising it.

Movie Character: Elektra.

Reveals: You are a lonely person because you feel that friends will only get in the way. When you do your job, you can be heartless and you do it well without any emotions attached to it. You put up a brave front but deep down you are just as vulnerable as the next person. You relate to people who are like you, and you try to reach out to them so they won't make the same mistakes you did in the past.

How'z that?! Ok I can't think of any other movie characters. Feel free to leave your comments in the cbox. Cheers!
