Eid Mubarak!!

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri everyone! It is raya in Geneva today... 30 August 2011.. I am blessed again to celebrate Eid this year in good health among friends... 

I have to admit though, raya is not the same without mum and dad, timan, timin and tiadi.. I miss you all here... I miss those days when my cousin Juanna and I would go shopping for kain before sending them off to the tailors... mum and I would wake up at 2am and start cooking the night before... the boys would play with fireworks.. my face would hurt from all the smiling and laughing with the guests... Next year InsyAllah... will be there with family and friends..

We went to a Nerds' Convention

The Swiss World Expo on historical model figures & scale modelling was held in Montreux on 19-21 August 2011. Nerds from all walks of life come to meet here once a year. We came very late, thanks to the traffic in Lausanne to make way for the ITU World Triathlon Championships.. hence there was not much to see by the time we got there. :-(

 I'm not usually a big fan of muffins.. but these are the most delicious muffins you will ever taste in your life... so soft, the blueberry (or chocolate) melts in your mouth... and you get a nice semi-sweet surprise in the middle...  definitely worth blogging about..

Yummy, I can't wait for sungkai later!!!

What perfect timing! I just received a food package from mum!!! Kuihs... keropoks.. biscuits... kacang... cucur... YUMMY!! Even if we break our fast at 9ish tonight, it will be worth the wait! Yippee!!! Thank you mum!!
